What is a
pastoral conversation?
A pastor helps care for a church community. A conversation with one can be a place to explore faith, ask questions or talk about what you’re going through.
You can come as you are.
You don’t have to belong to a church, know the Bible or be certain what you believe. You can ask questions, disagree and take your time.
Start with what matters to you.
A pastor might listen to what has happened, help you explore what Christians believe, or offer to pray with you if you would like. You decide what you want to share.
Someone with time to listen.
We’ll look for a pastor who’s available to talk. If you’d like someone local, we’ll also take your area into account. We’ll introduce them before you decide whether to go ahead.
A conversation is an invitation.
It does not commit you to attending a church. Before an introduction, you should know whom you are speaking with, how the conversation will happen, and which details will be shared.
